Membership Criteria
LDCVS provides valuable services and facilities within the voluntary and charitable sector. We intend to encourage and offer membership as widely as possible to enable the spectrum of the voluntary and charitable sector to be represented and assisted. However, resources are scarce and must be managed prudently and efficiently to maximise the benefits to the member organisations and community.
Membership is open to all organisations approved by the Board of Directors. To become a member of LDCVS you must be a third sector organisation delivering benefits to the Lichfield and District community.
Where appropriate you will have:
A governing committee;
A clear constitution or set of governing rules;
A bank account in the name of the organisation and financial records.
Members must follow lawful and legitimate purposes affording respect to all parts of the community and the aims and objectives of the member organisation must be consistent with the objectives and policies of the LDCVS (including those contained in the Memorandum and Articles of Association and Equal Opportunities Policy).
Organisations involved in, or affiliated to, party political activity are not eligible for membership. LDCVS reserves the right to refuse membership to any organisation it believes to be ineligible.
